Steve Rogers, also known as the first Captain America, is a superhero under Marvel Comics. He first appeared in the first issue of Captain America and was co created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. He is regarded as a symbol of the American spirit. Steve Rogers was born on July 4, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. After being transformed by the US government, he became a "super soldier", which made his strength, speed, endurance, and other physical abilities far beyond ordinary people. He was also given a shield made of one of the hardest metals in the world - vibranium - by the US government. From then on, as Captain America, he made remarkable military achievements during World War II.
